A place for books inside a mall
Opened in 2017 at the center of COEX Mall, the library added reading, rest and culture to shopping routes. It offered a reason to stay without making a purchase, changing how the space could be used.
Bookshelves thirteen meters high
The large shelves hold books and create a memorable interior. Up close you see titles; farther away, curves and light dominate. Compare a single book with the whole structure to understand its visual impact.
Reading together, listening together
Talks and performances have also taken place here. It offers a different model from a conventional quiet reading room. Remember that people are reading and resting alongside those taking photographs.
